Discussing the topic of free energy objectively

Go on Youtube and search for "free energy" you will find a lot of claims about how to produce energy right there on the spot with all kinds of techniques. There are a lot of angles to address here and I will start first with the skeptics.

The skeptics are in themselves ignorant of a lot of things. Our view of the laws of energy/physics are limited to what we have experienced in the past, so we cannot use that limitation towards new innovations happening in the future that may require a change in our views of such laws. The reality is that free energy is abundant around us. The main ones are sunlight, wind and heat from the sun plus other processes that we have not understood fully yet.  As a skeptic, the only demand you should make is that people who make such claim should deliver a scalable and viable product from such techniques. At the same time, we should allow people to dream and be ambitious. You never know what can come out of such work.

The other side that all of us need to grasped is the fact we should not have to purchase every product we use from some central authority. At the end of the day, you will need some degree of regulation to prevent products that could have some harmful side effects but this could be address in the overall development process.

Now, lets get back to free energy claims. Somehow, I think the people that make these claims are either very weird or somehow they are being silence by conspiracies. My simplistic view is that if you have an energy creation system that works repeatedly, all you need to do, is build a few prototypes, run them through some rigorous testing then present this information to alternative energy investors to scale the business. The bottom line is that your solution should be able to power an average household at an attractive price compared to other solutions. That is the basic requirement from my side. If you have a working product and meet the right investors, that is almost guaranteed to get support.

A good example would be the keshe foundation, they claim to have Reactor solution for some years now but yet I cannot go online and purchase such a product today. What is the hold up? does it work? can it be repeatable without adverse side effects? Here is an example of someone replicating the Keshe energy generator.

Nature has lots of mysteries and I do believe that there are sources of energy still not fully understood but it will take some level of systematic research and development to make these really feasible.  You need the dreamers and established scientist to converge on potential solutions. The solution needs to be cost effective, sustainable and repeatable in a real life environment.

At this point, your best bet is to focus on do it yourself type projects which could be an hit or miss in most cases. Check out this interesting do it yourself ebook - Tesla Secrets.

Maximizing the use of solar energy with liquid fuel

No one would argue that solar power could solve human power needs many times over if we can just find ways to utilize it more efficiently especially when its not so sunny. There are many discussions around how to store this energy for example for overnight usage. The main challenge facing most solutions available today is the cost involve to implement these. Here is a great video on one means to store this energy.

How to store solar energy for nightly use?

One big knock on solar energy is that it is inconsistent; it doesn't work at night or on cloudy days and storing it in batteries takes away the cost effectiveness. But a new technology is in development that can transform that light energy into stored clean fuel that still has a neutral carbon footprint - hydrogen.

Sustainability - How to we define sustainable?

We could say that sustainability is the means to operate without external stimuli. For example, a farmer can feed himself/herself without buying or getting food from outside. The big focus on sustainability is around the issue of providing clean energy in any location by utilizing what ever is available in the location. This work has a far way to go but there have been numerous breakthroughs that is advancing the effort.

On the other hand, there maybe systems you could buy from outside that is sustainable once acquired. A good example would be solar panels, biomass generator and anything that would not require you to keep spending money to maintain. The whole point here is that many poor people in villages have been left out the general economic flow of things, so they do not have the means to buy fuel and other materials on a regular basis. In the same breath, it could actually help people in that situation actually develop powerful economic means to participate in the wider community.

On this blog will share any ideas that we find useful about sustainability especially where it has potential to be affordable.
