Sustainability - How to we define sustainable?

We could say that sustainability is the means to operate without external stimuli. For example, a farmer can feed himself/herself without buying or getting food from outside. The big focus on sustainability is around the issue of providing clean energy in any location by utilizing what ever is available in the location. This work has a far way to go but there have been numerous breakthroughs that is advancing the effort.

On the other hand, there maybe systems you could buy from outside that is sustainable once acquired. A good example would be solar panels, biomass generator and anything that would not require you to keep spending money to maintain. The whole point here is that many poor people in villages have been left out the general economic flow of things, so they do not have the means to buy fuel and other materials on a regular basis. In the same breath, it could actually help people in that situation actually develop powerful economic means to participate in the wider community.

On this blog will share any ideas that we find useful about sustainability especially where it has potential to be affordable.
